Yasuhiro 2.0
This is by the first or second of the three generations of makers named Endo Yasuhiro, and is an exceptional shakuhachi. The bamboo is very dense, the urushi in the bore of an extremely high polish, consequently this flutes has a very assertive, solid, clear tone, with a lot of depth in the low end and ringing upper tones. The cracks in the upper half appear to be from when the shakuahchi was made; the urushi on the wrappings and on the joint wrapping, like that in the bore is of a polish and quality rarely seen on modern shakuhachi.
